Joe’s showcase

We got to the venue around 3:30 pm and lucky for us, there weren’t a lot of people waiting yet! Maybe 20 people or so? The 4 hours that we had to wait outside lasted forever though, god! And I’ve been in queues way longer than this one and even those seemed to go by faster. We weren’t allowed to sit down so my feet were killing me the entire time cause I had heels on (I’m short ok, I need them if I want to be able to see something at concerts). Anyway. We met up with the lovely girls who won one of my extra pair of tickets and chatted the entire time. Funfunfun! 

Around 5pm or so? Joe arrived, me and some others left our place in line and RAN to the back entrance but missed him by a minute. Le sigh. When we got back we were moved to another line.. something to to do with the ‘vip tickets’ but it didn’t take too long before they changed their minds and had us move back to the original line. Everyone was getting upset cause they had left their ‘fairly good’ places in line. Anyway, we worked our way back to the front of the line and were amongst the first to go in.

There were some attempts at singalongs, lots and lots of screaming and A LOT OF PUSHING. Oh god.

Oh right, at one point everyone started screaming cause Joe showed up at one of the windows above the queue so everyone went crazy. I SO TWEETED HIM TO DO THAT OKAY.

Anyway, doors opened, we were let inside and we were pretty close to the stage. WIN! 

Thennnn Joe came out, he opened with Love slayer. GUH, AMAZING MAN IS AMAZING. The show didn’t last very long, it was only a showcase after all, so he sang about 7 songs, I think? No JB medley sadly enough, boo. I took a pic of the setlist and I think that’s was crossed out on it.

His performance was amazing, flawless. He’s changed so much since I last saw him perform, now almost 2 years ago. It’s insane how much he has matured. God, I love that guy! After the showcase, we went outside as soon as he went off stage so we could get to the back entrance, only very few people where there when we got there so we were right by the door. Unfortunatly it took Joe a while to come out, and after a while the street was so crowded and packed. It was obvious there wasn’t enough security to handle the mass of people and I expected Joe to head straight to his car, which he did. As soon as Joe came out the door his security who had been holding the fans back formed a wall around him and rushed him to the car, and fans where just kind of like.. attacking him. It was crazy and kind of upsetting, actually. Clearly some people don’t know the term ‘personal space’.. There’s no need to throw yourself at Joe like that, okay? 

But anyway, like I said, he left immediatley so we then headed to eat something and went back to my friends’ place.

Words cannot describe my love for this man. Almost 2 years since I saw him with his brothers during their world tour and all those emotions just caught up with me again last night! I love them so much. Even though the show didn’t last that long, he was amazing and is such a great performer. So, so proud of Joe.
